Saraswati Puja 2022 Muhrat

 We are going to celebrate Basant Panchmi 2022 on February 5. The tithi for Saraswati puja begins in the early morning, i.e., 3:47 am, and lasts Till February 6,3:46 AM. Vasant Panchmi is celebrated in the month of Magha every year, and the month falls in late January or early February usually.

Odisha

 The Odisha Government has revised the Covid-19 guidelines, relaxing certain restrictions responsible for the drop in cases. According to the new covid guidelines issued by the government authorities, night curfews timings is between 10 pm to 5 am in cities.

In addition, the Government has permitted Saraswati Puja celebration in schools with a small number of students in line with all the protocols of Covid-19. The festival is also held in temples without the presence of devotees.

Punjab

In Punjab, the Sikhs community celebrates Saraswati puja by calling it Basant Panchami. In bright yellow attire and turbans, they compete in fierce kite-flying competitions. On this day Sikh community celebrates the sacrifice of Haqiqat Singh, who was detained by Zakariya Khan, with the false accusation of disrespecting Islam.

Bihar & Bengal

Sweets and rice dishes that have yellow hues are made with saffron. Delicacies such ladoo, boondi, malpua, Kesar, kheer Halwa, Kesari Bhaat, sondesh, and Rajbhogare served together with the Ganga Jal along with mango wood.

The majority of schools in Bengal are contemplating a move to continue their Saraswati puja celebrations making sure to follow all required Covid-19 guidelines.
