The first two digits of 5 digits indicate the manufacturing year of the particular train and the last three digits indicate the category of the boogie whether it is AC coach or Non-AC coach.
Meaning of the Last Three Digits in 5-Digit Code

401-600: GS (General 2nd Class)
601-700: 2S (2nd Class Sitting/Jan Shatabdi Chair Class)
701-800: Sitting Cum Luggage Rake
801+: Pantry Car, Generator or Mail
Now, suppose the last 3 digits of 5 digits is 328 then it belongs to the general category and if the last 3 digits are like 150 it means it belongs to AC Class. Hence, it is quite clear that the first two digits refer to the manufacturing year of the train and the last 3 digits refer to the type of the bogie in which you are travelling.
